I've been putting off its purchase for months now. It shouldn't be put off any more. So I have resigned myself to acquiring this disasterously ugly carbon fibre hugger. I think this is the first true farkle I have purchased.
Well...actually...it does have an important purpose, so it isn't a complete farkle.
I think it's gorgeous!,,,and a neccesity.
ReplyDeleteIt may have a real purpose but it being made of carbon-fibre may make it a farkle. ;-)
ReplyDeleteRichard
It looks more like a bad carbon-fibre toupee than a farkle to me. Wow, it's shiny and has sideburns. Certainly retro.

You're speaking a different language there, BeemerGirl. Well, a different language than the one I was raised speaking, anyway. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying the thing.
Thanks for the reminder...I need to go buy myself a valentines gift! :)
ReplyDeleteDear Beemer Girl (Lori):
ReplyDeleteAnything purchased for a motorcycle is an absolute necessity. Please include a picture of the final installation. I think you should point to the installed carbon-fiber shield and explain to your husband that it is your Valentine's gift to him... As it could prevent a breakdown, and a threat to you, eliminating one more thing for him to worry about.
Once he accepts this premise, you can get away with real murder.
Fondest regards,

Hi Roger!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Me too! :)

Hi Richard!
ReplyDeleteYes. You are probably right. But that doesn't make it any less fun to look at. :) Yay! And it is useful! hehe
-Lori
Hi Keith,
ReplyDeleteIt looks better on the bike. So unobtrusive. Such a sleeper. And so shiny! ;)
-Lori
Hi David!
ReplyDeleteRepeat after me: Huggers good. Carbon Fibre light and pretty. :) And don't even get me started on your language. I need a dictionary! But it does increase my vocabulary.
-Lori
Hi Bluekat!
ReplyDeleteAnd what are you gonna end up getting?? Can't wait to see how good you are to yourself! ;)
-Lori
Hi Jack!
ReplyDeleteYou are correct. We had the discussion concerning the benefits to him on the road on Sunday. I mean, it has already proven it's worth in keeping my shock dry and preventing more rocks from being kicked up on his bike. Not that he could keep up with me. ;) Pictures are on their way...posted on Flickr and working on the installation blog.
Murder? I'd settle for a sneak attack to tickle. Murder is so final. Sneak attacks last.

ReplyDeleteBeemerGirl:
ReplyDeleteIf it were up to me, it would be Valentine's Day, everyday . . .
