You had so much fun and adventure going for you guys. Happy that you are showing the real meaning of taking a road trip on a bike. I would love to take my bike for a road trip since I replaced my tires with Pirelli Motorcycle Tires its awesome to ride!Charityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10210896044488937683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2364903049017493756.post-27222743250840929842013-01-17T17:22:29.030-05:002013-01-17T17:22:29.030-05:00Sounds like an eye-opening experience! The lush trees around, the sun bright, and the sky clear with a hue of light blue – the perfect conditions to take on the road. I’d love to go to Shenandoah on my next motorcycle journey!

>Max Piedra Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05778526162080097440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2364903049017493756.post-30830962950405634522013-01-16T11:24:59.642-05:002013-01-16T11:24:59.642-05:00HI George! I still think it is the best way to capture, and retain, the trip. Although, giving it some thought now, I need to see about putting the book together.

I'm looking forward to your next post! You have some wonderful images, so it should be great.

Agree about BRP and Skyline. They just seem to draw you back, don't they. Every couple of years we get the urge to go. And that spider turned to powder when touched. He had been there awhile. EEWWWW!! heheBeemerGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15239761274177026636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2364903049017493756.post-19133169902034545202013-01-16T11:22:15.005-05:002013-01-16T11:22:15.005-05:00Hi Trobairitz! I can handle wet and warm, wet and cold...heck no. I can imagine your experience was probably the second one. How long did it take your jeans to dry? :)

I do know this was the second horrendous storm on this trip. Remember Day 1 as we were leaving home with the lightning striking the gas station? :) I'm happy to say we survived and can look back with fond memories.

I am so happy the first part of the day was so beautiful. Shenandoah is so pretty. Maybe one day I can spend a week camped out (in the truck) and see if I can capture a similar storm on the Parkway. Nay....would rather be riding.

The AYCE sounded way to pricey for me too. And we just can't eat enough to do a buffet price any justice.

Stopping was good. Nice, unexpected break and a calm evening.BeemerGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15239761274177026636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2364903049017493756.post-77396045760694683202013-01-16T11:13:54.774-05:002013-01-16T11:13:54.774-05:00Hi Chillertek! I now wish I had taken the time to get the picture...and put the rain gear on there! No curbing the primal flight instinct at that time though. I feel I need to point out that these are the Appalachians on the eastern seaboard...this little mountains are very old and run down. The folks in the Rockies would laugh at me calling these mountains. But they are home for now. :)

Thanks for not thinking this one was too long! And I am not one to shy away from storms. :) Funny, Oilburner has been wondering if my posts are too long sometimes, so I am trying to be a little more succinct. He pre-read this one and thought it should have been longer. :) Can't win for losing. heheBeemerGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15239761274177026636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2364903049017493756.post-87438141975400425252013-01-16T11:09:31.278-05:002013-01-16T11:09:31.278-05:00HI Sonja, Yeah, with your temps (and mind by the ...HI Sonja, Yeah, with your temps (and mind by the end of the week) some summer green, blue skies, and summer showers are kinda nice. I hadn't thought of that. I follow bloggers from places I might never get to, life is short so it's nice to see the photos. I always post lots of pictures, my next post from my trip is going to have, get ready for it, 130 pictures.....in one post. I'm going to bust Google's servers :-)
Lovely post, love the Blue Ridge and Skyline, wonderful place to ride, been through it twice and could go again. I've only experienced rain like that one when on a bike and luckily I was riding pillion, but we too grabbed the first motel we could (no rain gear - I was in jeans)

I am glad it started off sunny.
