Something Followed Me Home

This fun little cutie drove me home the other day.  Before we all get our hopes up, no, she isn't here to stay.  She belongs to a friend.  Oilburner [was] volunteered to install a lowering kit.  So we met in between and transferred.  Gotta say this F700GS was EXCITING to ride!!!  She handled well, great suspension, headlight leaves something to be desired at night, and some fabulous wind sheer at highway speeds.

  1. I really like that model. Also like the even smaller G650GS single.

    1. Hmmm...Might have to give the 650 a test ride. The 700 was an absolute blast! The lowering kit definitely affected the suspension. Not something I would ever do to a bike of mine. Speed bumps were buckboards. Lost all suspension travel.

    1. It was. But as I ride more and more varieties of motorcycles, they are all fun in one way or another. :)

  3. Reminds me of my F650... handsome and great little bike as long as you don't encounter crosswinds...

    1. I was thinking of yours! I didn't encounter crosswinds, but it sure did easily wander across the lane if one didn't pay attention.

  4. Nice. Does it make you long for a lighter bike? Or just appreciate the wind protection of yours?

    1. What keen insight. :) I wouldn't have thought of it if I hadn't ridden it. Wasn't expecting such a maneuverable light feeling bike when it is actually only 100 lbs lighter than the 1200! And yes, greatly appreciate the wind protection of the 1200. The wide tank and opposed engine offers much more protection than expected.
